    Hearts vs. Faces.

The Wall Street Journal reports that "good looking people are favored for hiring and earn higher salaries than their less attractive colleagues."
Isn't it ironic that we humans, made in the image of The Lord, focus so much on aspects of humanness that have little to do with God's image?

But The Lord doesn't judge by looks at all.
Even the godly Samuel thought The Lord would choose the most attractive man to be the next king. "But the LORD said to Samuel, 'Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.'” (
    1 Samuel 16:7).

We can't all be beautiful on the outside, but we have equal opportunity to be beautiful on the inside.
And the closer we get to the Lord, the more beautiful we become.
