If you love travelling and you are equally fond of the winters, you are most likely a person who loves snow.

Now, let us help your imagination go a little further. You are inside a glass top igloo in the middle of a snow-clad landscape. When you lie down, all you can see above is the Northern Lights. Such a surreal view, won't it be?

Well, there's just one place in this planet where you can actually do this. It's the Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort, a hotel right in the middle of Finnish Lapland, and at a mere stone's throw distance from Urho Kekkonen National Park, the largest national park in Finland.

While words can fall short to describe the beauty surrounding this hotel, the environment is cleaner than most places in the world. While taking a hike in the surroundings, you can even quench your thirst from a stream flowing past because the water is so pure.

Staying the nights in this hotel can be magical. Located just north of the Arctic Circle, the igloo rooms of this property offer unobstructed views of the Aurora Borealis. In this place, you can see the Aurora Borealis for as many as 200 days in a year.

The resort offers accommodation in four different categories: queen suites, log cabins, a traditional house, and the famous glass igloos.

Although the temperatures in these parts can fall up to minus 40 degrees, the glass igloos are made in such a way that you can easily survive those temperatures. The igloos are constructed using special thermal glass that keeps the inside warm and protects itself from frosting over.
