Michael Deigh participated in the “Pilot for a Day" at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph where he spent the day with the 560th Flying Training Squadron, toured the T-38 Talon supersonic jet trainer and visited units in the squadron.
In 1994, Capt. Rory Blackburn initiated the grassroots program, which supports children with lifelong disabilities and serious illnesses, providing them a once-in-a-lifetime experience in the life of a U.S. Air Force pilot.
